With all the tweeting, excitement and anticipation leading up to this year's sold out event, it's hard to believe we're already half way through this year's program. A big thank you to our speakers, sponsors, and of course, our attendees, for contributing to the day. It's amazing what can happen when a few of us gather together!

If today whizzed by in a blur of sharpie sketches, here's a quick run down of just a few of the day's magical moments.

Here we goat again

The wise Giles Colborne once said, "Most debates about whether someone's phone is better than yours can be solved by asking if the other person needs a hug." We couldn't agree more, which is why everyone had the opportunity to start the day with a hug from the snuggliest creature of all - goats. This year's event featured a goat check, where you could check your goat, or check out our goats. Hugs were free for the taking! And if you preferred your morning hug in a cup, the Matter of Taste latte bar was serving up delicious, tailor made lattes.

Insightful talks

Our twinkling co-chairs Mark and Bob kicked things off and gave way for some amazing talks. Raising insightful questions like, "What the $%*& is 2049 going to look like?!" and "Get to the real issue - *why* do you love it?", the speakers had Fluxers thinking and engaged. In between talks, we were all serenaded by the Festival of Interstitial musicians.

Working it

The afternoon started out with a lightening round teaser from each of the workshop leaders – just enough to leave us wanting more. Attendees participated in one of the workshops for the rest of the afternoon, which was a tough choice to make given the interesting topics like rapid ideation and practical empathy.

Nom, nom, nom

Food is something we at Fluxible take very seriously, and both lunch and break times today were no exception. Smells of southern BBQ wafted through the event centre while platters of antipasto skewers were polished off. partyAnd let's not forget our official brewer, Block 3 Brewery, who served up Büser Experience Ale and FluxibALE all night long at the party.

Night at THEMUSEUM

Speaking of party, the day was capped off with a fun night at THEMUSEUM. Between making things fly with the Myo armband to sending air tweets via balloon to doodling on Boltmade's canvases, there was lots going on. It was a great opportunity for Fluxers to kick back and make new friends.

Wowsahs — how's that for a day?! Amazing. We are super excited to continue the fun tomorrow, starting at 9am with Kendra Shimmell's talk on how narcisstic products suck. See you then!
