The Boltmade offices were packed this evening for Method Jam, the most recent design and developer event series from Fluxible sponsors, Boltmade and Heist, as well as Grand. Taking centre stage for day two of five straight days of UX related events around Fluxible, Method Jam kept the energy levels high within the local design community.

The theme for the night focused on how to apply design as a development or client communications tool. Each of the featured speakers, Luke Canning (GRAND), Blake Stevenson and Eric Roberts (Boltmade), Tessa Thornton (Nascent Digital) and Tom Creighton (Heist), took different spins on how to use design thinking in your workflow. "Shifting Your Client's Mindset", and "How Designers and Developers Can Work Together", were just two of the breakout sessions that culminated in a pitch showcase.

More than 50 designers and developers came out from both Toronto and the Waterloo region for the event, that even had its own free shuttle from downtown Toronto. The evening's success is just another indication of how ripe the area is not only for more design related events, but more collaborations with our neighbours just down the 401.

And that's a wrap on day 2 of the veritable UX festival! The fun continues tomorrow when the headline event, Fluxible, opens its doors at 7:45am. Stay tuned for the post day report, where we'll have all the inside scoop, gossip and pictures.
