Night at THEMUSEUM

Fluxible's Saturday night party (remember, we are a UX party disguised as a conference!) will be held at the ultra cool THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener, from 5:30–9:00 pm. Not just a place for rainy day family retreats and summer camps, THEMUSEUM offers 2 floors of open space perfect for the occasion.

"The after-party is a fantastic way to get to know your peers better, whether you want to expand your network or just hang out and have fun with like-minded people", says Sandra Loop, Fluxible's chief party planner.

Doors will open right after Saturday afternoon's workshops. It's a hop, skip and jump down the road from the School of Pharmacy, so you'll be there in no time (well 10-15 minutes if you casually stroll along). Dinner starts at 6:00 — gourmet panini stations and other tasty treats — so you can refuel after a good day's work. The first drink of wine or local craft beer is on us. After that, it's a cash bar with beer at $4 and wine at $5.

As the first two floors of THEMUSEUM are ours for the night, we have access to play with some of the exhibits, such as the pin wall shown here with our logo. There will also be plasma cars for scooting around the place, a paper airplane station, a music playlist designed by the Fluxible community, and lots more hands-on fun.

To continue our focus on the art of the craft, we're delighted to have Michael Segui part of the festivities, who will be printing up gesture sets on location. If you missed the chance to gets hands-on with Konrad Sauer's insanely great hand planes earlier in the day, you'll have a chance to do so at the party. He'll be relocating to THEMUSEUM for the evening.

And what's a party without prizes?! Thanks to our awesome sponsor Demeure, one lucky person will go home with a travel prize worth $4000.
