Wow - what an awesomely awesome day! It seems like it was just yesterday that we announced Fluxible 2013 and we now are already half way through this year's program. A big thank you to our speakers, sponsors, supporters and of course, our attendees, for helping to create something really special here.

Let's just take a minute to download and recap some of the moments of magic and delight from our first day together.

There is no better way to start off a day (especially a cool September one!) than with a warm cup of joe. Matter of Taste totally rocked it, serving delicious lattes all day - they even prepped drinks so that attendee orders were waiting for them at the break time!

After our fairy-like co-chairs, Mark and Bob, kicked off this year's show, the morning zipped by with an incredible set of motivating and inspirational talks! Topics as varied as treating culture like a design challenge and the art of hand planes kept Fluxers intrigued and on the edge of their seats.

With all that thinking and doing, everyone had worked up an appetite for lunch. Some attendees grabbed their gourmet lunch boxes and headed outdoors to soak up the sun and make new friends, while others took the opportunity to follow up with speakers.

The afternoon kicked off with a lightening round teaser from each of the workshop leaders - just enough to leave us wanting more. Attendees participated in one of the workshops for the rest of the afternoon, which was a tough choice to make given the interesting topics like sketching and the power of the metaphor.

And since Fluxible is a party disguised as a conference, the day was capped off with a super-fun night at THEMUSEUM. The place was buzzing as there was tons going on - kid reporters snaked through the crowd, 100 metronomes serenaded attendees, and some tried their hand at paper plane designs, while others zoomed about in the plasma cars. To top it off, a bunch of Fluxers won prizes donated by our incredibly generous UX-lovin' sponsors!

Phew - that was quite a day! We can't wait for it continue tomorrow. See you back at the School of Pharmacy in the morning when Trip O'Dell kicks things off.
