Music: Veda Hingert-McDonald

Veda Hingert-McDonald is a violinist, composer, improviser, and theatre artist currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music in violin performance at Wilfrid Laurier University, where she studies with Jerzy Kaplanek and the Penderecki String Quartet.

She has recently performed at Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, NUMUS Concerts, Open Ears Festival, Summer Music Vancouver, Soulpepper Theatre Company, and Paprika Theatre Festival. In her compositions Veda explores the theatrical side of music by employing poetry and staging effects. She is also a member of Erso: a singer-songwriter duo focused on nature and environmental conservation.

Veda is an all-seasons cyclist, and loves hugs, trees, and hugging trees.
